Security agencies across the nation have been put on alert, with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) specifically instructed to apprehend him at any entry or exit point.
This information was revealed by the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Kemi Nanna Nandap, in a memorandum sent out to key security agencies, including the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Inspector General of Police, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
The memorandum, signed by ACI DS Umar, provided details of Bello’s international passport and emphasized his ongoing prosecution before the Federal High Court in Abuja for Conspiracy, Breach of Trust, and Money Laundering.
It stated, “I am directed to inform you that the above named person has been placed on watch list… If seen at any entry or exit point, he should be arrested and referred to the Director of Investigation or contact 08036226329/07039617304 for further action.”
This development follows the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declaring Bello wanted on Thursday, adding further weight to the legal challenges he currently faces.
