PDP Youth Leader Condemns Akpabio, Senate Over Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Suspension

Call for Akpabio to Step Down
Osadolor accused Akpabio of failing to recuse himself from the investigation, arguing that his continued leadership compromises the credibility of the Senate.
“The Senate President should have stepped aside. If he was truly a man of integrity, he would have allowed an independent investigation.”
He further expressed concern that the Senate used state power and bureaucracy to silence Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, warning that such actions undermine democracy.
Opposition Senators Criticized
Osadolor also rebuked opposition lawmakers for failing to challenge Akpabio’s actions, accusing them of prioritizing political survival over justice.
“It was even more shameful that opposition members in the Senate failed to speak up when it mattered.”
According to him, many lawmakers feared retaliation and chose to remain silent rather than risk being labeled as rebels.
Justice Will Prevail
Despite the Senate’s decision, Osadolor insisted that justice would eventually be served and expressed confidence that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s case would not be forgotten.
“The majority may have their way, but the minority will also have their day.”
The controversy surrounding Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension has sparked widespread reactions, with legal experts and human rights activists calling for a fair hearing.
