The occasion featured a military parade held at the villa’s forecourt, attended by the elite Brigade of Guards and personnel from various security agencies.

To ensure safety, strict security measures were in place, including thorough screening at the main entrance and a significant security presence at the event site.

President Tinubu arrived at 10 AM, welcomed by the sound of pipers, and proceeded to inspect a Quarter Guard established by the Guards Brigade. He then took his position on the saluting dais to receive the national salute, officially kicking off the day’s activities.

The celebration included a presidential change of guards and a Nigerian Armed Forces Colour patrol, showcasing the country’s military strength and national pride.

Highlights of the event were performances by the Silent Drill Platoon from the Guards Brigade, which captivated an audience comprising cabinet ministers, presidential aides, and members of the diplomatic community.

The festivities also featured a variety of performances by a mass band and cultural troupe representing Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, celebrating the nation’s diverse cultural heritage.

The ceremony concluded with President Tinubu signing the anniversary register and the ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake, which he shared with Vice President Shettima, leaders of the National Assembly, Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, the National Security Adviser, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The event wrapped up with the release of doves, symbolizing the nation’s aspirations for peace and unity.
